NAME OF GOVERNORS Role of Governors
A successful school is a team where staff, governors and parents work together for the benefit of all the children. In recent years the role of the Governing Body has changed significantly. Its responsibilities have been formalised and special roles have been given to different governors.
Parent Governors are elected by parents and Staff Governors are elected by staff. Foundation Governors are appointed by Birmingham Diocese for a four year period. The governors may be appointed in different ways, but they have an equal status on the Governing body.
